Account Deletion

Here's how to delete your Suitoly account and related data. Deletion is free and can be done at any time. However, if you are the Owner of a ledger shared with another user, you must first transfer ownership or unshare the ledger (see below).

Delete within the app

  1. Open the Suitoly app
  2. Open the menu (☰ in the top left) → Account settings
  3. Select "Delete account" at the bottom
  4. Tap "Send verification code" to receive a 6-digit code at your registered email address
  5. Enter the code you received and tap "Delete account"

For identity verification, a verification code is always sent by email regardless of your sign-in method (email/Apple/Google). Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

If you are the Owner of a shared ledger

You cannot delete your account while you are the Owner of a ledger shared with another user (this prevents the other user from losing the ledger). If you attempt to delete your account, you will see a message listing the affected ledger(s) and asking you to transfer ownership or unshare before withdrawing. From the ledger detail screen in the app, transfer ownership to the other user (no prior consent is required from the recipient; a notification email is sent upon completion) or unshare the ledger, then proceed with account deletion again.

If you cannot use the app

In the contact form, select "Other" as the category, and in "Inquiry content" state that you wish to delete your account along with your registered email address. Please provide a reachable email address in the "Email address" field. We will send a confirmation to your registered email address and delete your account and data once we have verified your identity.

Data that will be deleted

Deleting your account deletes the following:

However, entries you registered in a ledger shared with another user are not deleted, in order to preserve the other user's records; only the association with the original poster (the deleted account) is removed, and the entries remain in the other user's ledger. This removal of association cannot be undone.

The data described above cannot be recovered after deletion (deletion takes effect immediately and no backup is retained).
